There are two ways to switch between pulse mode and fixed rate mode on the 1006S: one is active switching, with a button next to the device operation page for active switching; the other is automatic switching. If the device cannot detect the user's breathing in pulse mode, it will automatically switch to fixed rate mode approximately every 4 seconds to produce oxygen.
